The Northern Shuswap Tribal Council approached Thompson Rivers University in partnership to develop provision for an education program to the Northern Secwepemc te Qelmucw (NStQ) according to our needs and cultural values.  The signed partnership agreement is below.

Do You Want to Learn how To Play Lahal?  

NSTC Skills Development has Lahal Kits For Sale:    $300.00


Lahal (traditional bone game)  kits were created by Secwepemc Elder Jean William.   The kits include instruction book,  bones,   music CD with traditional Lahal games songs,  Sticks,  Doctor Sticks.   The kit comes in an enclosed container for storage.

NSTC Skills Development has Hide Tanning Kits For Sale:   $300.00


Secwepemc Elder Cecilia Derose has created Hide making Kits for NSTC Skills Development.   These kits include an instruction book,  Prototypes of materials needed to tan a hide-from start to completion!    It all comes in a plastic storage box for protection.
